About Runable
Runable builds an AI agent that helps small businesses run day-to-day operations across web, mobile, desktop, and messaging. It can build and deploy websites and apps, create documents and slides, browse the web, and complete long-running work in secure sandboxes.
We are a small team, so engineers work across the product and infrastructure. Titles are useful; shipped work is more useful.
About the role
As a Growth Engineer Intern, you will build the product and systems that help people discover, adopt, and keep using Runable. You will work at the intersection of product engineering, data, and distribution, owning focused projects from the initial hypothesis through implementation and measurement.
This is a hands-on new-grad internship. Your primary tools are code, product judgment, and data.
What you'll do
- Build acquisition surfaces, templates, and tools that solve useful problems and introduce customers to Runable.
- Help design and ship product-led growth loops across sharing, referrals, and the work customers create with Runable.
- Improve activation and conversion through instrumentation, analysis, and product changes.
- Build experiments and reporting around events, funnels, attribution, and channel performance.
- Explore new distribution ideas with focused prototypes, then follow the evidence.
- Work with the founders, product team, and customers to understand where growth is blocked and fix it.
What we're looking for
- A new graduate with strong software engineering and product fundamentals.
- At least one of the following: a gold medal or equivalent top academic distinction, a strong competitive programming record, or meaningful open-source contributions. One is enough; this is not a collectibles quest.
- A project, product, library, or system you built and can explain end to end.
- Comfort using data to form a view, test it, and change your mind when the result disagrees.
- High ownership, curiosity about customers, and clear communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript, full-stack product engineering, or databases.
- Familiarity with experimentation, SEO, analytics, attribution, or product-led growth.
- Experience with AI agents or products for small businesses.
How we work
- Growth at Runable is an engineering function, not campaign management.
- Interns work on production systems. This is not a shadowing program.
- We prefer durable channels over a pile of unrelated experiments. Slides are allowed; shipped evidence counts more.
Hiring process
- A 15-minute introduction call with a founder.
- A work-day trial in our office. You will work on a real problem with the team so both sides can see what the internship is actually like.
