About Runable
Runable builds an AI agent that helps small businesses run day-to-day operations across web, mobile, desktop, and messaging. It can build and deploy websites and apps, create documents and slides, browse the web, and complete long-running work in secure sandboxes.
We are a small team, so engineers work across the product and infrastructure. Titles are useful; shipped work is more useful.
About the role
As a Growth Engineer, you will build the product and systems that help people discover, adopt, and keep using Runable. You will work at the intersection of product engineering, data, and distribution, owning ideas from the initial hypothesis through implementation and measurement.
This is a hands-on engineering role. Your primary tools are code, product judgment, and data.
What you'll do
- Build acquisition surfaces, templates, and tools that solve useful problems and introduce customers to Runable.
- Design and ship product-led growth loops across sharing, referrals, and the work customers create with Runable.
- Improve activation, conversion, and retention through instrumentation and product changes.
- Own the experimentation and measurement layer, including event design, funnels, attribution, and reporting.
- Explore new distribution channels with focused prototypes, then scale the ones supported by evidence.
- Work with the founders, product team, and customers to understand where growth is blocked and fix it.
What we're looking for
- Strong product engineering skills and the ability to ship full-stack systems independently.
- Experience building a product or system that moved a growth metric, with a clear understanding of why it worked.
- Comfort with analytics, experiment design, attribution, and interpreting imperfect data.
- Product judgment and an understanding of how customers discover and evaluate software.
- High ownership and the ability to turn an ambiguous growth problem into measurable shipped work.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with programmatic SEO, product-led growth, referrals, marketplaces, or user-generated distribution.
- Experience with PostHog, SQL, event instrumentation, or acquisition analytics.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, AI agents, or products for small businesses.

- Growth at Runable is an engineering function, not campaign management.
- We prefer durable channels over a pile of unrelated experiments. Slides are allowed; shipped evidence counts more.
- Agents produce a lot of our code; engineering judgment still decides what reaches production.
